1TB+ External HDD Case and 3.5" Drive OR External HDD

Going to pick up a HDD of 1TB or more (keeping costs relatively low) and trying to decide on a external drive, or an enclosure and a 3.5" HDD. Speed doesn't really matter as it will be used to put pictures and videos on for long term storage. Seems like most external drives <$100 are pretty poor in reliability, so am leaning towards an enclosure and drive. Thinking this HDD and this enclosure. Any thoughts on the enclosure? Any recommendations for a better budget enclosure, or a decently reliable external HDD.
