Reminds me when I bought my Shure SM58S (worth nearly $150, paid $50)

-bought the microphone on ebay even if it's wayyy to good to be true
-1 week later, no new from the seller after several emails and find out about the fake SM58S microphones
-start a case with paypal
-the seller goes WTF and send me a false tracking number (Item sent to italy in 2010, it was meant to be sent to quebec in 2011........)
I keep going on with the case with paypal
-about 2 weeks later he sends a tracking number that looks real
-Few weeks later I get a full refund from papayl
-Few more weeks later I receive the Microphone... which surprisingly was a real shure sm58s rather than one of the numerous fake ones.

I probably would have been scammed without paypal on that one...

Haha yep enjoy the fake chinese coins. This has happened a few times lately from what I have heard. There is a lengthy RFD thread somewhere where a bunch of folks got ripped off buying $30 WD drives

They only hold money on high dollar transactions with low feedback sellers. This guy will get to clean out the account before a single person claims.

Bloody hell is this guy hitting it big. 881 sold @ 28.88 each means just over $25K so far and Paypal is only gonna be taking a low percentage since the selling price is low so he has easily cleared $20K so far.

ALso note he's sold 463 of those 32GB SD cards for $21 each giving him an additional $10K in money. THis guy has raked in over $30K with his bogus auctions. DAMN!!!!!

Not to be outdone there are 3 more scam auctions now for this same drive from a seller in Hong Kong and he's selling them cheaper so he's stealing sales from the original thief.

NOt poor folks Dan, just greedy folks allowing themselves to be taken advantage of.

No. He does this because if someone were to report now that they were scammed, he has a tracking number to delay the complaint. Also, Paypal will ask folks to return the 'wrongly shipped' item before they will demand a refund. It will cost folks about $20 to send it back with the required options.

So not fake numbers, but real ones meant to delay even longer.

This is my understanding from what I have read on RFD.

That's what I meant.

Listed is officially ended after 999 "sold".
