Adapter for Seagate Momentus 5400.3 SATA HDD 1 Attachment(s) Hey guys I need your help with finding an adapter that will let me access my Seagate Momentus 5400.3 SATA HDD but I'm having a hard time trying to find one atm. I'm including a pic of the hdd so you guys can see why I'm having such a hard time finding an adapter in the 1st place. If you guys can help point me in the right direction it would be really appreciated. Thanks. |
Can't you pull that piece out? I'm quite sure it's an adapter itself. Should just be standard SATA ports behind there. |
Did this come out of a notebook? Because it looks like there's an adapter hung off the back of the drive already. If it is, that should come off to expose the standard SATA connectors. Edit: Ninja'd. |
Thanks LP you're the man :haha: I never even thought about that until you suggested it! Thank you so much :thumb: |
WOOT! In your face SugarJ! *pelvic thrusts* I actually have very minimal experience with laptops, but I remember seeing that for the first time at work and going, "Mother of god what is this shit". |

:haha: you're too fuuny LP! Yeah that's exactly what I thought when I saw the connectors for the 1st time today since the graphics in my hp pavilion dv9730ca laptop decided to die on me! As for the rest of the laptop, it's still in working order so just what to do with it since its a 4yr old system is up in the air atm. Thanks again to you LP & thanks Sugar, too bad you got ninja'd :haha: |
sometimes theyre on there so tight that if you value your data you will look for an adapter. i broke a couple like that :) |
It's all good dan, the adapter that's on the drive comes off very easily  sold the laptop too so that's a plus :thumb: |
