HDD issue again, only showing system recovery

Hey guys, my hdd was working fine yesterday, today i took my pc apart to change cases but now im trying to boot it keeps getting stuck at "starting windows" Does not crash but animation keeps looping.

So i hooked up another HDD and then connected my primary one to see whats going on, when I go to my computer i only see the System Recovery partition but no the 500gb C one.

I was told to try gparted but that faild as it couldnto check and repair. So i just loaded linux live CD and thank god I was able to see the drive and back up my files again.

Can someone tell me why its doing this? Like I can see the contetns of the drive through live cd so why cant I boot from it?

did you load up hdtune?

back up your data, wipe it properly, then rma it if its still in.

check here : http://websupport.wdc.com/warranty/s...rranty&lang=en

chose canada, put the sn, and click next.

go with a black or sammy f3,unless you want to shell out for an ssd...:)

Ill give tunehd a shot tomorrow. As for ssd, i bought a M4 for my laptop a few weeks back and thats is what i mainly use so a regulay hdd would do for a pc.
