Hitatchi? Please I wouldn't trust those drives if my life depended on it. Western Digital or Seagate would be all I run.. See far to many issues with Hitatchi.

Thanks for the info. Those 5900 RPM ones deserve some research. I saw them for the same price as the Greens and as someone else already pointed out; they do often go on sale.

I am still worried about these so called ECO drives for an array though.

Well these aren't exactly the original DeathStars we're discussing. Why shouldn't I buy the new 2tb deskstars (7200rpm) ?

someone refresh my memory here, the widle thing can be done via esata too right?

ive done a bunch tru good ole sata and someone mentioned esata being ok too...

I know.. but Hitatchi has shitty ass warranty on their OEM drives
