Default 5K3000 2TB or WD20EARS 2TB?

NCIX.com - Buy Hitachi Deskstar 5K3000 2TB SATA3 32MB Cache 3.5IN Internal Hard Drive OEM - Hitachi - 0F12117 - in Canada

NCIX.com - Buy Western Digital WD20EARS Caviar Green 2TB SATA2 3Gbps 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM - Western Digital WD - WD20EARS - in Canada

I need a 2TB storage drive, I read alot of customer reviews on both drives that seem to say it's a hit and miss if you get a good drive.

My mobo is sata2 and the 5k3000 says sata3 is it backwards compatable on a sata2 header?

What is this "park" thing with WD?

Both drives are $70, which would be the better of the 2?

Getting completly lost on what drive to pick.

Thank you.

I will NEVER EVER buy a Hitatchi drive ever.

And the WD is far better and the issue with the Greens is they go to sleep ever 7 seconds but you can change that easily enough.

I don't mind either drive.

Usually SATA2 is cheaper. it doesn't matter what you get, but SATA3 is generally useless for mechanical drives
