Question Properly Wipe A USB Flash Drive

how do you do it? i tried hdtune but somehow it didnt quite work :)

i tried that,but not sure how secure it is.
im doing the fee space wipe with eraser,not sure if enough

How clean do you want it to be. There are random wipers which not only write over the data with 1 and 0s in random pattern but do it multiple times. Do a 23 pass (or more) random wipe...thats damn secure. Do search for secure wipe or secure erase.
Less secure but still the data is most likely gooooonnnne is quick format it. Then run freespaceCleaner w/ ff. It will write all 1s to the drive. As an added bonus it will put all the cells back into a virgin state sooo the flash drive will be as fast as it is going to be. ;)

nice. the only trouble i had,well it may sound weird,bu i couldnt delete the volume/partition..ahem.


edit : very clean. you never know whos gonna look it up lol
edit 2 : General Discussion If you have this 100MB/s write speed cap in win7 try this.. that it?

i would format it with windows

then fill it up with random data, music, whatever
and reformat it again

if you are really worried. repeat
