How does more then 2.2TB work on XP? I was just getting ready to set up my 4 bay raid enclosure to use raid 5 on it, but I was wonder how do I go about using it on a XP pc when the max HD size is 2.2TB I believe and this raid 5 setup will be 6TB? How do I go about this, thanks. |

Sorry I just realized what you were asking. to answer, it doesn't matter. you can use any windows to network the RAID. |

uhh wait. The RAID enclosure is 6 TB, not a single hard drive. it doesn't matter, the enclosure probably can't support more then 2.2 TB anyways. (I'm assuming a 3 x 2TB setup?) it's still accessible from Windows |

right right 4x2 will yield about 5.2 TB, but either way it doesn't matter, it's all accessible in 32 bit windows. |

nope, only if the drives were directly connected, a network drive will work beyond 2.2 TB in 32 bit (the host would obviously need to be 64 bit for 2.2+ TB drives to work) besides, 32 bit can address DRIVES that are less the 2.2 TB , which 2 TB drives are. it doesn't matter if you're RAIDing or JBODing them, they're still under 2 TB. |
