My System Specs

Default Is this an ok ssd?

This ssd is currently on sale for $104.99. Kingston 64GB SSDNow V100. My other choice is the Corsair F60 on sale for $129.99. I'm assuming the Corsair is the better drive but is the Kingston ok? The sale ends in a few days and I need one for my new build. I have little to no knowledge when it comes to ssd's. Thanks.

V100 is a decent drive. Its a JMicron based drive and pretty decent. BUT compared to a SandForce SSD it gets blown out of the water. Spend the extra 25 bucks and get the MUCH. MUCH better drive.

Thanks AKG. I did read the sticky. When I saw the read/write times while reading reviews, It seemed like the Corsair was the way to go. I'll spend the extra $25 and go for the Corsair. I can't build Cool Blue without at least one ssd.

I pounced on that sale yesterday night. I am hoping to get my drive tomorrow, going to spend the weekend rebuilding my PC on the SSD. Can't wait!
