Default Corsair F120 vs OCZ Vertex 2

So, I'm thinking of jumping into the SSD side of things and I've been looking at the two aforementioned drives.

I know I read that the OCZ was supposed to be faster as they paid for some better firmware for the SF controller, but has this changed since Corsair released their 2.0 firmware?

If price is the same, which would be the better buy?
I would prefer a more reliable drive if all else is the same.

Thanks!

If you catch my post in the next 20 minutes, I'd go to newegg and pick up the Vertex 2 120GB as it is currently under $180 after mail in rebate (if they have any less). I'd make your decision based on price more than anything. OCZ is decent with their support/quality if anything goes wrong with your drive and corsair is pretty well know for good support too.

Vertex 2 is faster. The 2.0 firmware was to fix a sleep state related bug. It does not make them as fast as the Vertex 2. Its still a std SF firmware drive so its low end is hobbled. With that being said the Force still very, very good...BUT at 180 the Vertex 2 is a nobrainer. Get the full speed drive and enoy. :)

I picked up a 120gb Vertex2 a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with it.

Awesome, ordered it from Newegg, thanks for the headsup guys! :)

Too bad I have a Sandy Bridge and will have to disconnect one of my drives for now, haha.

Instead of disconnecting a drive you could hook up one that doesn't matter like an optical.

Already have two opticals connected, I'll just have to connect the slowest drive to the Marvell controller instead.
