Default RAIDing 500gb drives -3 or 4

Hey guys, I have 3 WD 500gb hardrives, and 1 seagate 500 gb.
I used to have the 3 in raid 0, and was wondering if anyone knew offhand if adding the fourth and reinstalling windows would give me better performance over the 3 western digitals?

I'm not sure if being a different brand matters, also if adding the fourth would be worth it. Im getting a 2TB drive for christmas, and will be transferring all my downloads onto it and that way i can run the raid0 without worries of crashing...

well it might add a little but it won't be like wow that's so much faster. if I were you i would just shotstroke them that will help more then just adding another one to the raid

I just installed my new WD 2TB green sata drive to copy all my files over onto and it shows up in the bios and in device manager. But device manager says the drive is not initialized, and it doenst show up in MY COMPUTER.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks in advanced and MERRY CHRISTMAS HWC!
