Recommendation for RAID0 + mirror

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to look over the internet, but I have not found any answers to this potential setup.

I have three harddrives:
2x 1TB
1x 2TB

and I want to make the most of these drives. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried running:

RAID 0 on the two 1TB drives with the motherboard RAID. Then, in Windows 7, doing a software RAID1 with the 2TB hard drive.

I am leaning towards this way because it should theoretically offer speed as well as durability incase one of the stripes fail, since a raid5 would be wasted using the 2TB with the 1TB drives.
