Default SDHC card, help buying?
I'm looking for a 16GB or 32GB class 6 sdhc card. Are there any specific brands/models that are more reliable on the budget side? Thanks.

I kinda like the Pat Signature line SDHC cards. You can get a 16Gb Class ten for about 30 bucks.

NCIX.com - Buy Patriot Signature LX Series 16GB SDHC Flash Memory Card Class 10 - PSF16GSDHC10 In Canada.

I know you say class 6 but their class ten is a VERY good SDHC card, I have two of them and like them alot. :)

The other brand I recommend is Sandisk. Once again I would go Class 10 over class 6 as Im not a fond lover of the slower cards.
YMMV but those are the two I would use and recommend. :)

I have 2 of the same cards being used in my camera, mostly for shooting vids and have yet to have the card "slow" while waiting for the camera to catch up. Though I did not pay that price for mine.

Yeah definitely go Class 10. I have an A-Data 16GB one in my DSLR. Nice and fast. Taking stuff on/off it goes a lot quicker now too.

Most brands that also sell memory in the mainstream market are fine.
That said, I've been using lots of ADATA cards. They're cheap, reliable, and fast. Patriot comes in 2nd. But only because they're a price premium on them. Between the 2, get the cheapest and fastest.

I dont know, out of all the SD cards I've owned the ONLY three to die on me (besides one that were obviously my own stupidity) were one Corsair (which "lost" my rma and thus denied replacing it...lifetime warranty my arse!) and two AData. After two for two I've given up on Adata. YMMV on them. :)

personally i am prefer either sandisk or kingston. Also keep in mind that alot of camera's don't play nice with Class 10 cards currently.
