Sorry, but 2.1 is NOT the latest firmware for the G.Skill drives. 3.1 is the latest. So the con "not up to date on firmware" should be taken off and blamed on the Reviewer for not looking for the update on gskill.com

At the time of testing it WAS the latest. A review is not done in an afternoon, nor is the editing.

Unfortunately, this review stood aside for a while and as such the firmware used is slightly out of date. This was my fault. Sorry guys.

HOWEVER, this does not change the review itself in any way. G.Skill was still a LONG time behind OCZ when it came to updating firmware and this isn't the first time either.

Even if it was done a month or two ago it still coulda been upgraded. 3.1 was released over a month ago. 3.0 was released a few months ago, which i am sure that was in the time frame of the making of this article.
