im using it in my system specs to the right as AKG said, only willing to spend between $100 to $150, I meant money isn't an issue for size storage I want to buy.

Given your budget, that Vertex 2 is probably about the best choice for you. Full speed NAND, all PCB chip "slots" full (unlike the 40GB's). Very good choice even without the 20 MIR....WITH THE Mail In Rebate....115 bucks is INSANE for such a powerful drive. Its a no-brainer. Buy it and enjoy ;)

alright, seems like the choice is clear. Definitely gonna buy it :)
i'll post the difference in speed when I get it.

I have one question, when I install it, I was gonna unplug the one in there now and install a fresh copy of windows on the SSD, then do all my apps. I can just plug my old one in that has all my games on it and other things, right. I want to be able to play my games off the my WD HDD. I don't need any configuration done, right?

You will need to remove the operating system from your old drive (reformat). First windows will bug you about which drive you want to boot from, second your game saves/files are still on the old drive, so the new OS will not recognize that they are even installed.

yeah, that's what I wanted when I was buying my mobo, ram ,and cpu, but I was on very tight budget at the time but didn't want to buy crap hardware. My windows 7 runs pretty fast right now, and my RAM is clocked at 1600 mhz, (1610 mhz to be exact) so I think it'll do just fine for now.

I dont have any problems getting my slots to work, im running 2 2gb in dual channel, I had problems with it in the beginning when overclocking it, all I had to do was change a couple things in the bios though, been running great ever since. I have a 7.7 rating for my windows score.
