My System Specs

Default Vista 64 Clonning

I have a new Ocz Vertex 2 SSD to move my Vista Os over to. The size of my HDD shows at 135 gb. So I removed all my fligjht sims, videos, pictures ect... to try and get the clone size down to 70 or 80 gb size or there abouts. After reading muliple forms, googling and soforth I have been able to get the clone image down to about 85gb from 135 gb... Installed the new ssd and it shows up in device manager and also Disk Management. Do I now Initialize the Disk and then move the cloned drive over or just move the cloned drive and then allocate the remaining space ......

Shrink the partition first using Computer Management.

I'd use WinHEX to do a 1:1 disk copy from your existing to SSD.
