If you read what he just ordered it says 2x4gb sticks of GSkills Ripjaws. I don't see how that can be tri channel with only 2 sticks.

Really Zero, lighten up buddy, this is a friendly forum. Try quualudes, or cut down on the caffeine. No offense, just read what he wrote.

NP big guy. I enjoy the recommendations you make for builds, enhancements,... I've learned some interesting stuff from you and hope to learn more.

I make my fair share of Homer moments, as I'm sure you've read b4.

If I were you, I wouldn't get an SSD. It's not worth it.

What about a high RPM HDD?

I've owned Raptor drives and if you decide to go that route, get the new gen. About as expensive as a decent SSD, though no issues with trim,...

To me, they're a good investment if you're looking for speed and performance enhancements. The experts may or may not disagree. We'll soon find out!

They are an awful investment. If you're not going SSD buy a WD Black, they beat raptors in pretty much every meaningful instance and are a fraction of the cost and have more space.

It's a no brainer.

Now you can go back to telling zero off and giving him ski'ing lessons at the same time. ;)

okay... my thought was correct... i was just a little puzzled about dual ram... i mean i never find 8gb for i7 mobo's triple channel... and 12gb is not available anywhere... but i can change the order easily...

encorp, i also would like to use pagefile on ram.. not hard drive...

if i cant find a right ram then i will use seagate hdd then....

You can run without a page file on 6gb NO PROBLEM.

But if you want 12 gigs, grab two kits of it.
