My System Specs

Default Extra internal sata port - PCI-E card

I need to add some more sata ports to my HTPC, 2 minimum, 4 would be great. Any suggestions would be nice.

I found this card at P-PCS which also has 2 USB 3.0 ports, and SATA III.
ASUS U3S6 USB/Serial ATA Combo Adapter PCI Express Card Products Model: U3S6 [U3S6] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

Sata III is backwards compatible, yes?

I found out that this card is not 1x compatible, I'm using an older P35 board for my HTPC. Any other suggestions appreciated.

That ASUS card looks damn nice, usb 3.0 is just the icing :P

If you don't need USB 3.0 you could go w/ the Highpoint Rocket 620.

Newegg.ca - HighPoint Rocket 620 PCI-Express 2.0 x1 Low Profile Ready SATA 6.0Gb/s Controller Card

IF you plan on actually using the sata ports for drives that will be connected during post....dont get the u3s6. Its a crap shoot at best.
That card is for asus mobos (and only certain ones at that!) and ONLY asus mobos.
The only way most peeps get it to work on non approved mobos is to ONLY have hdds attached to the card and not use the mobos headers at all. ;)

I just need it for some HDD's that have movies/tv on them. MY mobo sadly only has 4 sata ports.
