My System Specs

Default Corsair extends SSD warranty to 3 years!!!

Edit: AKG, if you deem that post to belong more in the news section, up to you of course.

Alright,
I seen some news of another stating that Corsair extended their SSD waranty to 3 years. And it's now confirmed on their site:

Welcome to Corsair :: Warranty

Seems they didn't deem the info important, because they didn't make a big announcement.
Pretty good to see them adjusting to the market and offer a 3 year instead of two.

Now, the article i was referring to... mention a "grandfather clause" to SSD alread sold...didn't find info on that on Corsair's site.

My next SSD might be a Corsair!!! Might grab a Sandforce-based SSD for my desktop next year when the prices drop and drop my Vertex 120GB in my lappy!!!

I bet they where going to set it to three years no matter what, but thought "Hey, if we put it to two years for a bit, then bump it to the three, people will think we stand behind our products so much that they will spend more money on them!" It's all marketing.

Still a good thing to see warranties increase

I don't mind marketing at all when it results in real benefits to the user. ;)

Thats what I was trying to say! Its also good to know that it applies to people who already own one, not just those getting them now.
