Default Is old WD1200JB worth using?

I've just acquired an older hard drive (WD1200JB IDE) and I'm not sure how to use it in my current gaming PC. Here is my current hardware:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P
RAM: G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ PC3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X 860MHZ 1GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB (sata)

Should I use it as my OS drive?
Should I use it for pagefile?
Is is worth using at all?

I wouldnt use it for your OS drive. MIGHT be good for a data drive (where speed isnt that important)....but where it is old....I wouldnt trust it for important data. ;)

I would use it as a back up drive to put windows Image on it. These image will grow fast to 120GB but if you keep one of a clean windows it can make it way easier to re-install it all after a crash or anything.

whoops forgot that talking about such subject is now against the 'new and improved' rules of hardwarecanucks

maybe you could use it as a cache to legitimately download stuff and then transfer it over to your main data drive?

Thanks. I set up the drive as a "downloads" area.
