Default Secure Erase Approximate Time

Been googling this, but haven't been able to find an answer.

Anyone know approximately how long it takes to erase a 250gb HDD using HDDErase? (7200rpm) Is there an approximate time/GB relationship for secure erase?

It should be decently quick for a sequential write of zeroes.. ~1 hourish?

alternatively, a large magnet will have you covered in seconds! - I should market that product..

The problem with the magnet is that it's hard to check whether you're fully erased or not, lol
