-bought. TY for link! Sad to pay the PST (usually you get to skip that with NCIX), but oh well, $120 total is a good price!

I will use this for my OS and finally retire my Raptors (actually, I might still use them for apps and what not), I will eventually replace this with a faster SSD and demote the 40GB to my laptop, which for all intents and purposes is plenty.

This is also my first ever purchase from newegg, hope everything goes fine.

Now if only the 80gb drive was on sale, it would help out the notebook users...!

Decided I'm going to get one of those to put in my laptop, and take the 80GB gen2 that is currently in said laptop to use as an OS drive.

These will be perfect for my two GPU farms. Don't need much in the way of apps, and won't even need an app disk to go with them.

ive also seen that NCIX as the Intel X25-M 80GB 34NM Postville on sale for 240$

what would be best, 2 of these x25-V in raid 0 or a single the X25-M? (the M would be 50$ more then 2 V's with shipping and taxes)

getting tempted to dip into my savings to get an SSD ;)

I just got NCIX to price match to that using a certain shopping robot on line.
