Default Difference Between Two 640GB Caviar Black

Hey folks.

I'm about a week away from pulling the trigger on a new rig and want to pick up a 640GB WD Caviar Black but on Direct Canada there are two models. They both carry the same part number but I'm not sure what the difference is. The only thing that jumps out at me is one doesn't mention a warranty.

Any ideas?

It strikes me as odd if one is a retail unit that it would be less than the OEM.

On an unrelated yet related note I see that there are also two versions of Sapphire's Vapor-X 5770. One that is out of stock and one that is in. Different model numbers but I can't seem to find anything on the new card.

go with the cheapest. unless one drive has less cache and that makes a difference for you, doesnt seem to be the case this time

They seem to be the same. They have the same part # and they both have 5 year warranty listed in the specifications. Go for the cheapest one

I believe it's only a mistake they made. Just make sure that you get the right part # if you order the cheapest though.

Good stuff. Thanks all.

Oh, and it looks like Linke doesn't ship to Canada.

Any thoughts on what appears to be a refresh of Sapphire's Vapor-X 5770?
