Intel Raid driver with TRIM; anybody try this yet?

Anand mentioned something about it, did a quick search and saw this thread on an Intel forum concerning a Raid driver with TRIM:

the long waited INTEL RST V9.6.0.1014...

Mentions Intel Board support, but with the ICHR10 southbridge.

A quick Googles indicates that folks on XS have seen decreased speeds, but were trying to ensure it was due to the driver or degraded drive:

Anybody with a Raid setup have time to test this? I would love to stick another 120GB Vertex in my main rig.

Even if not perfect yet, SSD Raid folks got to be excited. Looks like some folks saw less performance, while others saw no degraded performance. Will not work with Raid 5, but 0 and 1 will work with Trim.

Been looking and it looks good if you have an Intel chipset.

Just in time too with the prices of 60GB SSDs coming down...a couple of those in raid with trim...

well my benchmarks are a little better but i can't tell if trim is being passed because i am running ITGC on these s592. so far so good thank for the heads up.

Last night on my laptop (not raid) I went from the MS driver to this Intel one. I did a CD Mark bench prior to, and after, and just now, with little differences so far. I did a 'Tony Trim' to consolidate and clear my drive in an attempt to ensure that the free space was zeroed out. New to me so I hope I did everything right.

So for me, no performance difference but I'll have to check in the days to come.

don't waste your time on tony trim you have a vertex120gb/intel 80gb both have ways to run wiper this is much better then tony trim and does not do unneeded writes to your ssd ( i tried it on all my ssd at one point it use less IMHO )

I was not sure how good it would do (I was only going to do it once), as I know that trim negates the need for this. But I was trying to ensure that the free space on my drive was 'fresh' for the new drivers. I never bothered with wiper, as I have always used a trim OS and SSD (although I think Win7 installed an Intel ACHI driver, so I might have screwed something up when I installed a few months ago).
