Check to see if the hard drive is recognized.
1. Right-click on "Computer". Select "Manage".
2. Double-click "Storage"
3. Double-click "Disk Management"
4. Towards the bottom, do you see your hard drive listed? (should be a disk close to ~930GB listed).

If you don't see it listed, try it on another computer. If it is not recognized there, the drive or the case needs to be repaired.

If it is listed, you have some choices to make. You can initialize and format it, but then you may lose all your porn. Or you could try some data recovery software to get your pictures off, then initialize and format it.

edit: ninja'd. Lots of HWCers eager to protect your [data]!

Pfft! And you call yourself an enlightened modern day male. How do you KNOW he needs a GF and not a BF?!!....he never stated what kind of [data] he was so desperately needing.

Sorry kaufman37, couldn't resist. Seriously I am glad your data is safe and sound. But I +1 Markone's suggestion....you need a GF. GF's may cost more than doing extra laundry....BUT the effort is sooo worth it. :)~

Boy was I slow on the uptake there.....

I was giving you a list of suggestions on data recovery agents - but lets be honest it can't be THAT important

Could always try Active Recovery - decent data loss recovery program.

EDIT: nvm you got it fixed... or fixt... or w.e
