agreed. that's a mighty good purchase.

Make sure you check the firmware version with the intel toolbox
Intel_SSD_Toolbox_1_1_0_000.msi

If it's anything that's not 02HD, you should definitely flash it here.

Relatively easy flash. Oh yes, gingerbee is correct, ignore the RAMdisk part of that guide.

I'm going to bump this thread. I haven't really been keeping up to date on hardware in the last few months, been busy with school and life, etc.
Im growing tired of xp, and my 60gb vertex has experienced a noticable slow down, so time for a reformat anyways. SO now, my question is, for windows 7, would getting an intel x25m v2 be better than getting a second 60gb vertex? I think that 2 vertex's would be faster, however, how important is trim? because i know the vertex doesn't support it.

I musta missed this thread yesterday. But I'm a bit confused. A 2nd Vertex will be much 'quicker' then the x25-m by itself. But why doesnt the Vertex support Trim? They have trim firmware, as well as garbage collection firmware for raid setups...

oh, I did not know that.. I was under the impression that older vertex's (like my 60gb) wouldn't be able to support TRIM
