Well low, you have had the ioXtreme now for a few days of test runs and you have owned 4 X-25M in raid. So which is faster, the ioXtreme or the 4 SSD's?

Depends on your usage. Gaming & photoshop is damn near exactly the same. Actually an ioXtreme isn't any faster than a single X25-M from my testing in gaming and/or photoshop.

Well that is a little disheartening to hear. I was really hoping to get one soon but from what you are describing it doesn't seem to be worth it

Personally I think we have hit another bottleneck. If a card that can do 750MB/s reads and 300MB/s writes and not to mention monstrous amounts of IOPS isn't any better than a card that can only do 250MB/s reads and 75MB/s writes, chances are storage isn't your problem.

But like I said before it depends on your usage. I am sure other tasks out there will just scream on the ioXtreme. Unfortunately what I do doesn't.

You maybe right about that, and I think that bottleneck is the software code.

Sweet lord those are some glorious numbers.

Dunno if they justify the price tag, but that's for you to decide i suppose.

Screenshot or it didn't happen considering you posted this after your FS thread went up.
