For their price they are hard to beat and irregardless of what some forum members will say they WILL eat a VRaptor 300GB in real world use. I know as I have used most SSDs out there and own the Vraptor 300GB. Vraptor losses and losses badly.

I have not (yet) tested the Kingston SSDnow V 40gb but where it is a cut down Intel X25M gen 2....it has great potential, and TWO Raided together would make one potent setup on the cheap. ;)
Thanks.
I've never done a raid setup before. (almost ashamed to admit that with all the systems I've built) I'm not sure where to begin...but its something I'll look into and see if it will be biting off more then I'm prepared to chew.

That is ideal for a notebook IMO - I wish I'd gotten in on the newegg sale yesterday, but the buggers sold out by 6AM or something silly like that.

If they could keep the supply of this thing in the market I think it will drastically alter the pricing of a lot of the other drives, especially the 30GB Indilinx ones.

I know I woke up at like 7am and they were sold out, 7 east so they sold all the stocks in 4 hours or less

I saw that to! I would have probably picked up one if I had been able to, they seem like solid (get it) drives from the reviews I've seen.

Looks like they might be back on Newegg on Black Friday (Nov 26/27). Also in the States they are advertising 40% off the Intel G2 SSDs, which sadly only brings them down to MSRP pricing. Talk about a gouge.
