My System Specs

Apparently these "hash" errors are well know and can be ignored:

Windows Search Service Error - The entry <file> in the hashmap cannot be updated

I also found a fix for the windowsupdate error:

Failed auto update retrieval of thrird-party root list... - Server Fault

Glad to know my green drives are working well!

i agree, its nice to know your drives are working well.

cuz, the 1.5tb is on for a sweet price right now. price matched at ncix for $107.79

nice to know they will work in WHS.

forgot to ask. do you or anyone else here know how often WHS accesses the drives?. if its more than once every 8 seconds it seems they wont spin down. ( a good thing i suppose)

Mine sit idle for more than 8 seconds when there is no activity but after a file is transfered they keep working as they "balance" the load and spread files across the drives. I have one of those 1.5TB drives and 3 x 1 TB with no troubles so far and now I have a 2Tb that I am putting in a Vantec esata case for server backups. I wouldn't worry about these drives in your WHS. Check out the following site for more WHS info:
