I'm running the beta firmware that got recalled, OCZ calls it 1.42b, but because I don't use hibernation I have had no issues with it.

I'd wait for a new release. Supposed to be a total rewrite of the firmware.

Like a motherboard bios, is there any point in updating the FW if you read the release notes and don't care about the upgrades, (the drive is working fine) should I even bother? I checked the lifespan and it shows up as perfect, 100%, lots of life left, it's not the most recent FW but isn't that far behind the latest, as of today. I'd just rather not reset the lifespan counter, or reinstall windows again.
