have ripped and encoded at the same time no stutter or slow down from when new just benched today 146 read 90 write at the lowest
You mean ripping from bluray/dvd well doing a transcode on and off of the ssd then yes that's what i am doing and no problems at all as of yet ha ha

transcoding isn't very drive demanding though. You are being limited by the CPU. W/ Muxing/demuxing it is entirely drive limited.

very true but i don't keep things in there raw vid/audio formats so I don't demux/mux that much anymore but i can do some test ( I would suggest using gordian knot for demuxing to see where it's at but you are using that all ready are you not? If not what are you using? )
