Default SDD/ HDD Raid0 Dilemma

Hey guys, I built a new PC and i'm going to Install Windows 7 64 tomorrow.

So I'm planning to Install a OCZ Vertex 60GB SSD as the main OS drive + games.
Then Install 2x 640GB Caviar Blacks on RAID0 for Music Producing, and multimedia needs (movies and what not). For music, i have thousands of 1mb to 10mb sound files and would love to see a speed improvement in loading up the files, or editing them, processing effects..etc

My questions are,
-would i see a big improvement using a RAID0 over a single 640gb drive ?
-i heard about short stroking, should i look further into it, keep in mind im not using the raid0 drives for OS?
-should i RAID0 all the 2x640GB space on the drive ?

PS: Backing up the data, is not important, since i have 2 other external drives with my backups, so i will be using the 640GB HDD for only music and movie processing.

Thank you.

I personally can't live without RAID and the more drives the better. You should definitely see improvement with 2 Blacks in RAID 0.
One thing, on any hard drive you should use the RAID edition if they offer it.

I always recommend a good hardware raid card but they can be expensive. If you can't afford it, onboard raid is still better than no RAID.
