My System Specs

Default A-Data s592 question

Ok well i have been hunting online for anything and everything about the s592 i can find but what i can't find is if the wiper.exe works or not? any help or info thank in advance for anything guys/gals

Wiper.exe is proprietary software from ocz. I doubt it works on the adata.

it seems to work on all indilinx ssd's that why i ask ( it's indilinx software not ocz ) and it's the same wiper for all the indilinx ssd torqx,vertex,supertalent and adata i hope we will see and it's fw 1.3 so jumper need for upgrades if possible not counting on the updates to the firmware though just hoping wiper works

Give it a shot, the first thing it does is search for and detect your drives, then it asks you which one to wipe. If it does not find any compatible drives it won't execute.

However, let me counsel you on something: hold off buying the drive until you see the review.

The S592 IS NOT firmware updateable.

no firmware fine just hoping for the wiper plan on buying some vertex soon anyway

I was under the impression that the wiper.exe only works with certain firmwares...

yes 1.3 or 1.2 and higher adn the s592's come with fw 1.3 ( kinda hoping akg's review will be up soon because i believe he would have checked this all is good though they run fast as hell still just think of the future thank guys )
