+1 for ssd, if I might recommend the new intel 34NM postville also, which are very nicely priced and amazing performer?

Either way you wont regret the SSDs

Some places have the 160gb's up for sale (Newegg.ca - Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2MH160G2C1 2.5" 160GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Solid State Disks), but I cant find anywhere that has the 80gb in stock, no.

Rumors say end of August before it hits retail channels. Expect the first wave to be pre-purchased already, so most of us will have to wait on round two of shipments to get one.

I was thinking about the 60GB OCZ Vertex SSDs (2 of them in raid 0), and i wanted to know if my motherboard will be able to handle all the speeds, because it can only handle sata2 at 3GBits/s.

The mobo is the EVGA Classified.

If i raid both the SSDs in RAID0, will i be bottlenecked because of my motherboard?

There is no mobo that handles SATA3 at 6GBits/s. only 3GBits/s.

Is there a point to getting the SSDs if my mobo can't support the speeds of raid 0 from the SSDs?

If it isn't bottlenecked, what kind of raid should i use? RAID 0 or RAID 5? Will RAID 0 give me the same speeds are RAID 5? I favor RAID 5 because of a parity disk (which will be a normal a 120GB HD, while the 2 other will be 60GB Vertex SSDs).

Which one would be better? RAID 0 or RAID 5?

2 vertex will not bottleneck an x58 classified. If that's what you have ( i think there's more then 1 version of classified board )

I would check with some one who has that board here ( There's a lot of talk about the south bridge and ssd limits ) and i don't run raid 5 every so i am a bad person to ask
