Partition editing and Raid 0

So I have 3 drives in raid 0 right now, running in 2 partitions (120gb + w/e is left)... seeing that I'm going to be switching over to SSDs, I want to free up the 120gb partition that I was using as OS/programs partition to become more storage space.

The question is: will I be able to use something like partition magic to free the 120gb and merge it with the existing larger partition... or should I be doing a full backup and play it safe? Anyone have experience with this?

I've moved/deleted/resized partitions in a raid 0 config with acronis disk director with no problems.
