Please guys... this is somewhat urgent, waiting at checkout @ ncix, lol. Need to know the best 60+gb SSD to get for a laptop thats around or under 200. im looking at this one:
NCIX.com - Buy Corsair Storage Solutions X64 64GB Indilinx / Samsung 2.5IN SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD - CMFSSD-64D1 In Canada.
or this one:
NCIX.com - Buy OCZ Summit 60GB 2.5IN SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD Samsung Controller W/ 128MB Cache - OCZSSD2-1SUM60G In Canada.

thoughts?

Don't know much about the Summit drives, but OCZ seems to have really stepped up to support their ssd drives with regular firmware updates, etc.

Here is what AkG has to say about OCZ support for these drives:

I would go with an OCZ vertex drive with the newer Indilinx controllers. That Corsair has the controller, and their support is excellent, but thye have not been around the ssd market as long as OCZ I believe.

It is my understanding that the P line from Corsair = Summit from OCZ. And the X line from Corsair = Vertex.

First gen X-25 will NOT be TRIM compatible only the 2nd gen will be. This is according the Intel. I'd stay away right now from the X-25 line until the bugs in the 2nd gen are worked out.

YMMV ;)

I was just looking at that 64gb Vertex too:
NCIX.com - Buy OCZ Vertex 60GB 2.5IN SATA2 Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD - OCZSSD2-1VTX60G In Canada.

AkG: does this have the Indilinx controller?
