I bought a 32GB SSD in Novemeber 2008 for around $120. And they are still around the same price.
Agreed, I think it will eventually happen but not that fast. They'll make lots of money in the mean time.

NCIX.com - Buy Intel X25-M 80GB 34NM Postville 2.5IN SSD SATA Solid State Disk Flash Drive - SSDSA2MH080G2C1 In Canada.

Read the forum remarks, an NCIX rep states they are in channel now and they are expecting them soon. Good time to order.

Got my vertex's in raid 0 installed win7 x64. Posting from that build. Getting 520mbs seq. reads. I should have run the secure erase after I flashed it though, so I left some junk on it. Gonna see if the garbage collection picks it up otherwise I'll have to break the raid, run the wipe and re-install.

Then I'll post some benchies.

Also, f**k hard drives. It takes longer to post now than it does to load windows. Everything is instant. Click pow! I ran a tweak where you turn off 8.3 filenames, it had to apply that attribute to every file on the computer, while it was flying through that i was still able to open and run outlook, explorer, rivatuner and anything else, all instantly and no hitches while using them.

/cries. I'm trying really hard not to buy 2 SSD's. You're not making it any easier.

Hrm...maybe just a 120 for the laptop, and I'll get the desktop later...
