Put in the hard drive when the system is off, boot from LiveCD, and click install. It's simple.

Well, make sure the computer is off before you attempt anything. Once that is done, open up the case, connect the power and either the SATA or IDE cable to both the hdd and the mobo and voila. You may have to reformat the hard drive once you boot but most OS cd/dvd's that want to install to a hdd will give you that option during the install process

is it ok if i boot using windows 7?

i am planning to install widows 7 eventually. can i jus install windows 7 right now? after connecting the hdd?

after connecting the hdd for the first time.... and turn on pc.... and can i setup windows 7 right away? or i must run unbuntu live cd first?

You can format the HDD with the win7 disc and install it right away.

ok now im in unbuntu. where do i go to format the hdd?




or....... cant i just ditch ubuntu and install windows 7 now? when i in the seesion of installing 7.... it gonna format too right?

You can install win7 onto the hard drive, after you format it.. there will be an option to do so after it loads. No need for linux.
