My System Specs

Default Post your SSD benchmarks and tweaks

This comes from a bit of a discussion we have in the FS section

It would be nice to see what people are getting out of their SSDs and how they are getting there.

Please post your SSD benchmarks as well as a description of the setup.

Some points would be:

How full the disk is
What firmware
OS
Your overclock
System specs (obviously )

I believe the SSD benchmarks of choice are:

CrystalDiskMark
IOMeter
HDTune
HDTach
ATTO

The more the merrier. Let's see what you've got!

Here's my RAID0 setup with

Win7
7 920 at 3GHz
EVGA Classified
12 GB Crucial at 1440 7-7-7-20
2 Intel X25-M 80GB with the latest firmware update (can't remember the name)

Here's an older bench with the same basic setup on a single X25-M 80GB

I think I should be getting better results out of the RAID0 setup, right?

I think so too! There's barely any performance increase from your raid!

yes you should be getting a lot more then that. check the 4kb write omg slow . that's why vertex are better. 3x 32g warp v2.

Hmm...

I ran CrystalDiskMark last night and my 4kb scores were better than the ones you posted.

I'll have to run it again post it up tonight with a screenshot.

I wonder if there's something wrong with HDTune?

Just seems weird.

Instead of saying "that's why the vertex are better" how about a suggestion of what to do?

yes i know what i was say is warp vs vertex. sorry for the confusion. look at your max read period that is way to slow for intel x-25. is write back cache enable under intel storage manager. i seen a big performance increase. and i was only comparing vertex to warp v2 cause you can get the 30 g ones for the same price or almost the same price as the warps. and run atto.
my point about the 4 kb write on the warp is to show the problems with the jmicron 602 controller chip . ( strip size 128 max for ich10r i believe ) so i use 128 with a 128 offset. but have heard people getting better results with 512 offset just what i heard from a friend running 4 x vertex in raid0

oh i just suggested you run atto to see if you get similar results to hdtune cause mine are very close to the same.

Stripe size is 128kb.

I will try to run some other benchmarks this evening so we can see what the story is.
