I'm thinking since HDDs mis-state the capacity of harddrives,
maybe this is same as a 32GB SSD, which is actually 30GB?
the 30GB is actually 30GB.

Never used the smaller ones but IIRC 30GB is 30GB.

W/ the bigger one 120GB is about 120GB (OCZ 120 was 119.7).

EDIT: lowfat beat me to it :)

Is this harddrive the 2.5" Scorpio drive from Western digital? (very fast according to different reviewers)

It is a western digital.

It's the first 2.5" 320GB HDD out, thus, the slowest of its kind
from what I can see.

After looking over at everything, 30GB might be 5~10GB short
of what I need :(
Gaah... Common, drive down em prices of SSDs!

Get the 64GB Falcon. They're pretty much the same thing as a Vertex, but even cheaper.

Newegg.ca - G.SKILL FALCON FM-25S2S-64GBF1 2.5" 64GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Solid State Disks
229.99 at Newegg.ca with free shipping.

anyone know how long it takes for newegg's "free shipping" to reach ontario?

I've heard mixed reviews/comments about newegg.ca;
mostly due to the fact that they ship everything across the boarder...

I ordered my 60GB Vertex from them when they had the free shipping promo. It took about a week.

Hmmm, can anyone recommend me a list of SSDs that will perform
better than the Western Digital 320GB 5400RPM 8MB (3200BEVT)?

Thank you for the help.

Uh, like every SSD out there? I guess JMicron micro-stutter might make the SSD worst, so all SSDs that don't use JMicron controllers.
