Default Hitachi 1TB 7200 16mb SATA HDD

My local computer store has the 1TB Hitachi drive on sale, and I was thinking of purchasing it to increase my storage from 500GB (thus making my total 1.5TB).

I normally try not to stray away from the two best known brands; Seagate and Western Digital (both types of drives currently present in my system-- a 160GB Seagate for my OS, apps, and games; and the WD 500GB for storage).

However, the price they have this Hitachi drive on for seems almost too good to pass up. Now, i've done a bit of research on the drive, and from what I've found, the only complaints people seem to have is it being DOA (but since I'm picking it up locally, it would be a cinch to return and replace).

Does anyone here have experience with either this specific drive, or Hitachi drives in general?
