Which Corsair SSD are you referring too? As their top end one is exactly the same as the X25-E. I thought the rest of them were Jmicron based.

The Corsiar 128GB just released (their first main stream SSD IIRC) is NOT a JM based SSD...or at least it is not supposed to be. IIRC it uses a Sammy arm controller. Great warranty support (IMHO as good as it gets, just like OCZ), w/ drive designed to not stutter (once again that is the PR hype around it) = good first time SSD :)

A x25E is $$$$$$, thus it would be first pick IF money is no option...but where the title of this thread is CHEAP ssd...it doesn't exactly fit ;) X-25M is a great SSd but as you know may not be the best option for a first time SSD user....and is $$ too.

Shoot i was incorrect. It was Kingston that has a X25-E replica.
