Default Protective hard drive cases - worth or not ?

Bonjour,

I recently bought a new hard drive (and I plan to purchase another) to use solely for backup. At the same time, I also bought a BlacX (ST0005U, with eSATA) docking station so I can move easily the drive. And now, I'm wondering if I should buy one of these:

WiebeTech Micro Storage Solutions - Protective Hard Drive Cases

Do you know if it's worth it ? Right now I only need to move the drives from one room to another. Is it money well invested ?

Thanks

For $7 I'd say yes it is. I have a Wiebetech HD enclosure and it was well worth the premium price on it. They make great products. If it gives you any piece of mind then I'd say it's money well invested.

I agree with you that it's not really expensive (well - if it wasn't about the shipping cost, I've seen some horrible things when I was looking to buy some, like 30$ for shipping two of those units, which seems ridiculous).

I'm curious to know where you bought your Wiebetech HD enclosure ? Directly from Wiebetech ?

I ordered it from NCIX, but it was a special order product and took about a month or so to come in. Looks like they can order most Wiebetech products from there site but I don't see the item you wanted listed yet.
