A little help burning an ISO I'd like to install Windows 7 on my PC. Problem is, I've never "burned" an iso before, which I'm guessing shouldn't that hard. I was just wondering if there is a specific kind of DVD I'm soppose to buy? Would this be fine? Future Shop: Computer Add-Ons: Blank Discs & Cases: Memorex 25-Pack 16X 4.7GB DVD-R Spindle |
Any DVD will do - but you have to select ISO burn in your software. |
I see, awesome. Now is it safe to use winows 7 as a primary OS? or is it a smarter choice to partion my hard drive for windows 7? |
I'd say its safe, but just to make sure i'd partition the HD, or just use a spare entirely. |
Windows 7 should NOT be a primary OS at all. |
why not? its stable. its the primary OS on my aspire one. Use imgburn, its easy and free. |

I've had a whole bunch of lockup/freezing problems as well.. |
I had it melt down on me after a few weeks of it running beautifully. I don't think I'd recommend it as a sole os right now. |
