That's Seagate, not Samsung...

And you can't really compare reviews unless they are using the same motherboard since each board handles things a bit different I'd think.

Well its about time here are my results for the samsung

Added my RAID0 result, which has my OS and a lot of data. it is 2 x 500GB Hitachi's.

Well the seek time on the Samsung is lesser compared to RAID0, less cpu usage, better burst times.. Wow. seems like a nice drive tbh..

Thanks Paul, if you like 'em, try for a RAID if possible.. Since we have results on this forum and on the web by users for RAID0 in Seagate and WD, I'd like also like to see one for Samsung..

That is only IF you can, no worries if you can't

hi didnt want to makea new thread but out of the three seagate,western digital and samsung 640gb hd which is better? I'm a total noob when it comes to hard drives. I have the choice to be able get either 1 and for about the same price. I will be using it as my main hard drive for my computer.

As it stands, seems like Western Digital is the best one.
