Attachment 14950

I'm happy to announce that we now have a system in place that will calculate a users forum contribution level.

The contribution level/points system will is a way of acknowledging users who contribute the most to the forum by allowing them to collect Reward Points which can be redeemed for HWC Swag as well as provide them with extra entries into our contests, thus giving them a better chance of winning.:canadianwave:

* As always, any registered member is able to enter the sweepstakes; however, they will only get one entry if they have not contributed to the forum.

Contribution Level Details

Attachment 2270

Under every forum members name, there is a forum contribution bar which is made up of two parts.

1) The users current contribution level
2) Points needed to move up to the next level

If you click on your forum name, you will be able to see the detailed stats.

That is a great system. Nice point attribution. Now, next question: what is a referral?

If you refer someone to the site and they put your nickname in the referral area, you will receive additional points.:thumb:

You could just end up with a lot of new crap threads and postings,
even Iím guilty of that when Iím feeling funky :bananafunky:
with even more incentive, I can just smell the abuse comingÖ. :ban:

Interesting...

I've seen this hack and was thinking about putting it on my forum, but I think it would cause havok since we all know each other IRL.

That is true, and is why we have put systems in place that should hopefully curb such things. Moderators can also apply "infractions" which deduct 100 points from people posting crap/spam.
