Default A Quick Update re: Site Issues

No, we're not being hacked again. Thank God.

Over the last while we have been gradually upgrading and relooking at various website functionality. However, this hasn't been without some issues.

As you may have noticed over the last two weeks we have had intermittent outages, some longer than others. Many of these were not planned.

After a ton of searching and what seemed like countless amounts of troubleshooting, we believe the culprit is a malfunctioning router at our hosting facility which will need to be replaced. While we own the hardware, this is not a quick fix since the component is anything but "plug and play".

Prior to replacing anything and taking the site offline for a while (no, not days if the router truly is the culprit), we will of course validate that this is indeed the problem. If that proves to be the case, an announcement will be made prior to the replacement.

Again, we apologize for the issues.

Ah yes... CoLo repairs. Always my favorite part of work as well. ;)

Thanks for the heads up and I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. I especially hop your CoLo has more space to work in the cages than ours does...

Word from Gav is that they are going to replace a switch today, so some downtime is expected.

Good luck with that switch, we all know that can go just so wonderfully bad if it won't cooperate.

Apparently they've swapped out the switch so we're keeping our fingers crossed that it resolved the issue.

I'm guessing it's NOT a plug and play switch ;-)
