I'm still on the fence whether or not to try out. I have the time and the ability to write, yet for some reason I'm unsure. Perhaps my past attempts at doing something like this (I.E. writing for the site) have soured my attitude a little. Hmmm... Convince me someone? Ha.

Too small for a computer case. For that you need about 4-5 5000K CFLs, a ironed and pressed piece of cloth and your camera turned to +1 or higher exposure.

As Sky mentioned, something much bigger would be needed, especially if you want to be getting more than top down angles.

Myself, I use 20 foot wide background paper along with a softbox and background 750W flood lights. Mind you that is for film with a few different angles.

Lemonlime does some amazing shots as well - though I'm not sure on his setup.

The real trick for cases is to try and get an even lighting across much of the case. Because it is so big, you usually need a full room for it. It requires a lot more light to get everything even and you need to be able to have the lights far enough back so they don't overpower certain areas. You also get a lot of light fall off, so more powerful background lights are essential. I found the smaller photo lights to give a bit of a spotlight effect, but even with more powerful lights it is hard to avoid the glare - especially with side windows.

My Wife uses this kit for her shots: 1600W Lighting+48"&24" Studio Cube Photo Light Tent Kit on eBay.ca (item 360230074517 end time 26-Feb-10 22:22:00 EST). Works great.

Bumping this to the top again.

Preference will be given to anyone who is interested in reviewing Intel 1156 or 1366 motherboards but I will entertain all other submissions as well.

Hey, as long as you know what you're doing I'll entertain the idea. Your cat can participate as well. ;)

And you gotta do it in your bee costume

I'd love to do this, but I lack the space, spare parts and photography skills.

We're definitely open to the idea of video reviews - however as with the written reviews there are... quality standards

One idea I am really interested in, is if someone wants to do Game Reviews in video format, or in written format and be willing to coordinate with me to get it into video, that would be very cool.

Go through the same channels and discuss with SKY if that is of interest.

Ditto, just add lack of time and knowledge to list of reasons not....
