HWC's Folding@Home Push for 100 Contest

To celebrate our quest to enter the top 100 Folding teams, Hardware Canucks and ASUS have teamed up to present to you our " Push for 100" Contest.

ASUS has generously donated the following two prizes: one of their new GTX 260 216 Matrix cards and an ultra-rare GTX 285 Ultimate. To our knowledge, this is the ONLY GTX 285 Ultimate in North America.


The contest will be set up as follows:

ASUS GTX 285 Ultimate Prize



The GTX 285 Ultimate Edition prize will be open to anyone in North America who Folds for Hardware Canucks (team #54196) within the next 30 days and posts a minimum of 15,000 points over that time. This includes current members of the Folding team.


ASUS GTX 260 Matrix Prize



The GTX 260 Matrix Edition prize will be open to current folders (as of the day the contest starts) who have posted at least 10,000 points during the last 30 days.

A list of eligible members for the GTX 260 Matrix prize can be found here (staff members will be excluded).


Hardware Canucks is throwing in the following as secondary prizes:

Custom Surface 1030 Mouse Pad

HWC "DAM GOOD" Shirt

If you meet the criteria as stated in the contest details above, we will enter you into the contest automatically.

HWC's staff will be keeping tracking of every eligible folder's stats, so just sit back and fold.

So I've got a 1 in 50ish chance? Sweet! I just ticked over 1 million points this week, took me 15 months. The next million should take about 3 months.

We wanted to encourage new folders to join, but also wanted to recognize those who've contributed to our success to date.

Not only do you have a decent chance at the 260, but you've also got a chance to win the 285.

I'd also like to make note that the "current folders" list was made up this morning, and I'm pretty sure I caught everybody who meets the criteria, but if somebody feels they meet the criteria, and they don't see their name up there, drop me a PM and I'll have another look at the stats.

Your quad should be able to cover the 15K in a week running the SMP client. :)

Basically, there has never been a better time to start folding for us. ;)

Haha well, the guys who frequent the F@H forums here are all great people and everyone is pretty helpful. It is fun sharing the info, and having friendly competition among each other. The prize stuff is just icing on the cake
