I am running my 295 stock and my SLI is de-linked so I can run both GPUs and to avoid the squeal I backed off the % in the configuration where you right click on the icon in the tray and bring up the config there. Seems to work for me.

I wish there was an easy way to use both GPU's with Vista. I also tried backing off the CPU percentage in the configuration. It quits squeeling for a few minutes, then comes back. I also prefer the squeal when overclocked. It makes a higher pitched squeal then over stock, not as noticeable.

FYI, for those of you who want to pop in the points and then back off I'll let you in on something: wait 'till you see the NEXT folding members-only contest. ;)

Hehe.

Unlike the GX2 the second gpu on the 295 is activated using the hdmi output, if your monitor has dual inputs you could connect both...

@ SKYMTL; You staff delight in teasing us don't you...

I'd sooner dig my eye out with a rusty spoon than back off. The GPU squeeling like a stuck pig is what tells me it's working hard. After about 2 months you'll get used to it and develope folders ear. It's when it dosn't squeel I know somethings amiss. As an added bonus you'll be able to hear those frequencies only dogs and kangaroo mice can hear.

BTW folks... make sure you put SKYMTL on your christmas card list for next year. He's the dude that put in the hard work with ASUS to get this together.
